Get an installation quoteWhat changes the cost
- Cable run: the distance from your switchboard to the charger. Longer runs need more cable and labour.
- Power supply: three-phase installations are priced separately from single-phase.
- Property type: installations in multi-storey homes include a multi-level fee.
- Your switchboard and wiring: the electrician assesses your switchboard, wiring and maximum demand. If upgrades are needed, they're quoted separately.
- Your network connection: where a charger means the service fuse or connection needs upgrading, the network operator may charge for that work.
In Queensland, single-phase chargers up to 32 A no longer need a network device, dynamic connection or controlled load tariff since 1 October 2026. See single-phase vs three-phase charging.

For example, an Evnex E2 Core at $1,099.00 plus TSG Electrical's single-phase installation for a cable run up to 5 m at $770.00 comes to $1,869.00, including GST, before any switchboard or other additional work.

Not always. The electrician assesses your switchboard, wiring and maximum demand. If an upgrade is needed, it's quoted separately before work goes ahead.
